Houston is no stranger to hosting the Super Bowl. We welcomed the enormously popular event in 2004 and are eager to do so again in 2017. Of course, there’s tons to do in Houston leading up to the big game. Discovery Green has transformed into your NFL hotspot for the entire city. Whether you are rooting for The Patriots, The Falcons, or a team that is not actually in the running to become champions, there’s something for everyone at this huge event. Starting with a trip to the George R. Brown Convention Center, the week of January 28th – February 5th is packed with football-related activities for Super Bowl LIVE – all reachable from your uptown Houston condo.

The NFL Experience at the George R. Brown Convention Center takes place January 28th – 29th. Powered by Genesis, the event features physical events with NFL players, events to benefit Breast Cancer awareness, and more.
NFL Experience is the most exciting continuous event surrounding Super Bowl LI – pro football’s interactive theme park offering participatory games, youth football clinics, merchandise from NFL Shop presented by Visa and autograph sessions from NFL players and Legends.

A Star-Studded Super Bowl Week
Tons of musical acts will perform leading up to Super Bowl 51. Apart from Lady Gaga performing at the football game, you can find Solange Knowles performing on February 2nd along with Houston natives, The Tontons, on January 28th. Indulge your jazz and classic rock needs with The Suffers and ZZ Top on February 4th. Blue October is actually performing twice on January 28th, as well. A more futuristic aspect of the whole event is the Future Flight.
Super Bowl LIVE will also feature Future Flight, a signature attraction at the event that combines a virtual reality experience with a 90-foot drop tower taking passengers on a trip to Mars and back.
Alternatively, you can take part in all kinds of other events all around the city. The MFAH hosts the Houston Iranian Film Festival on January 24th. You should also participate in the huge Chinese New Year celebration on January 27th – 28th in the nearby neighborhood of Upper Kirby. For you active types: work up a sweat at free boot camp from Square Fit at Memorial City. Everything is nearby when you live in a luxury uptown condo.
